**What:** change the board's stage layout so on phone widths the stages (To do, Doing, Done, etc.) stack vertically instead of sitting side by side.

**Why:** side-by-side stage columns don't fit a phone screen and force sideways scrolling.

**Done when:** on a phone width, a board's stages read top to bottom with no stage column running off the screen or needing sideways scrolling.

**Risk:** a board with many stages could get very long; confirm scrolling stays smooth.
